Louise is an experienced, award winning campaigner and advocate who has worked in a range of consumer markets including financial services, retail, legal services and energy. Louise joined the Association of British Insurers (ABI) in 2012 as Head of Strategy and is now Director of Advocacy with broad responsibilities including external relations, membership and Business and IT support. She is the executive sponsor for gender inclusion as part of the ABI commitments to the HMT Women in Finance Charter. Previously as Head of Advocacy at Which, Louise lobbied in the UK, EU and internationally. Louise has contributed her expertise as a trustee and director to numerous charities and organisations. She was a member of the Legal Services Complaints Commissioner’s Consumer Board; a trustee of the financial education charity, pfeg, and represented Which on the board of the European consumer organisation, BEUC, and on thecouncil of the global organisation Consumers’ International. She is currently Chair of the Sheila McKechnie Foundation and Chair of the Civil Aviation Authority’s independent think tank Aviation Futures.
