We’re pleased to announce that Louise Hewitt, senior financial planner at Aberdeen PLC and council member of the Insurance Institute of York, has joined the judging panel for the Yorkshire Financial Awards 2026.
Louise brings more than two decades of experience in financial planning, supporting clients in managing their money and building long-term security. She particularly enjoys helping people make sense of pensions and retirement planning, giving them confidence that their future lifestyle is within reach. Her approach focuses on removing complexity from financial matters so that individuals can feel assured their plans are in safe hands.
After taking a career break to raise her family, Louise returned to the profession five years ago. Since then, she has refreshed her qualifications and is currently working towards becoming chartered.
Away from her role, Louise is a keen yoga enthusiast and gardener, and also spends plenty of time outdoors with her two teenage children – with coffee and cake stops firmly part of the route.
Ahead of this greatly anticipated event, Louise comments: “I’m very much looking forward to working with the Yorkshire Financial Awards panel to review applications for the 2026 awards which will no doubt highlight the huge breadth of talent we have in the region.”
The Yorkshire Financial Awards 2026 will be held on Thursday 7 May at New Dock Hall, Leeds. Entries officially open at the end of August, with the final deadline for submissions on Friday 6 February 2026.
